Altenew June Release Blog Hop And Giveaway

I am so excited to be participating in the June Release Blog Hop for Altenew.  This new release features so many beautiful ocean themed products and I love everything! Today I am sharing one of my favorite projects which features the new Zero Waste: Beneath the Blue Die.

Altenew Products Used:

I used both colored cardstock and ink-blending to make this card.  To start, I ran the Zero Waste: Beneath the Blue die through my die machine using white cardstock, lavender cardstock, and green , silver, and gold specialty shimmer cardstocks from my stash.  I also used teal colored cardstocks in 3 shades, including a textured cardstock with my Ocean Windows Die set. 

Once all of my die cuts were complete I got to work in my Jellyfish. Using inks from the Cool Summer Night Fresh Dye Ink collection, I gently ink-blended color onto my die cut.  I also added a touch of lavender using residual ink on a purple blending brush.   To add a little more texture to the Jellyfish I decided to also spray the die cut with Iridescent Shimmer Ink Spray and let it dry.  This spray added the additional detail I was looking for. 

Next I built my scene, first adhering my Ocean Windows layers with thin foam tape to add depth and dimension to my scene.   I then selected a variety of die cuts from the Zero Waste: Beneath the Blue die to finish up my scene as shown.  

To finish everything off, I stamped a sentiment from the Mini-Delight – Graceful Seahorse Stamp and Die Set, glued my panel to a folding A2 card base, and added a few enamel dots.  My cute card was now complete.
