I’m so excited to be joining Altenew in celebrating the new August Release! It is filled with beautiful products that are incredibly versatile, making it easy to create everything from elegant florals to fun, creative scenes.
Today I’m sharing two different cards featuring some of my favorite new products and I love how they showcase how much variety you can get from a single stencil set.
Card 1 – Soft Florals with the Painted Petals Stencil Set
For my first card, I wanted to let the gorgeous Painted Petals Stencil Set take center stage. The layered design creates stunning flowers with little effort, making it perfect for creating a full background panel.
To bring the florals to life, I used the beautiful new Vintage Study Fresh Dye Ink Collection. The rich, color palette blends effortlessly through the stencil layers, creating soft shading and depth. The colors in this collection work together beautifully, and it is definitely one of my new favorite ink collections.
Once the stenciling was complete, I trimmed the panel to fit my card base and using a frame die, I cut out the center, creating two pieces. I then cut a slightly larger mat than the center piece from red card stock before adhering all 3 pieces to a folding A2 card panel. I also added foam under the center panel to add dimension. I finished everything off with a dark teal die-cut “Thanks” and some dark teal enamel dots from the Cool Summer Nights Enamel Dots Set and my pretty card was complete.

Card 2 – An Artist’s Studio in Card Form
For my second project, I wanted to use the Painted Petals Stencil Set in a completely different way. Instead of creating a full floral background, I transformed one of the stenciled flowers into a miniature piece of art displayed on the easel created using the new Art Studios Treasure Layering Dies. The die set includes wonderful artist-themed elements that allowed me to create a studio scene, complete with scattered art supplies surrounding the finished masterpiece.
I love how these dies tell a story and create a playful scene while still highlighting the beauty of the stenciled floral artwork.
