ALTENEW MAY RELEASE – GRAND DAHLIAS

Hello Crafty Friends,

I am so excited to be sharing cards featuring the newest collection from Altenew for May.

This project is a two for one effort featuring the following two new products:

I also used one of my all-time favorite Fresh Dye Ink Quads, the Delectable Delights.

To start, I used the layering stamps from the Regal Flourishes Stamp Set and my Vanilla and Almond Butter inks to make a large square panel with my Stampwheel 2.0.  The Stampwheel 2.0 made this background panel easy to create and the results were just beautiful.

Next, I used the Grand Dahlia Layering Die and cut all the petals for both blooms from 80lb white cardstock, and the leaves were cut from chocolate brown cardstock.  I ink-blended the petals using Vanilla and Hazelnut Inks and then I used Bronze Pigment Ink to enhance the brown leaves.

Once my blooms were assembled per the layering guide on the packaging, I cut an A2 sized panel from my larger background panel and added the biggest bloom.   I then stamped and die cut a sentiment from the Regal Flourishes Stamp and Die Bundle and once my card was complete, I realized I had enough material for a 4” x 4” square “Thank You” card.

I assembled my second card and just loved the results.

Make sure to check out the full release at the Altenew website.

Happy crafting!
