Hello everyone! I am so excited to be participating in the Alex Syberia Designs October Bow Ho Ho Release Blog Hop. This release is filled with so many fun and beautiful holiday products including the new Classic Bow Dies I am featuring in my projects today.
When I saw this giant bow die my first thought was Christmas present. So I went through my stash to see what I could pair with the bow to create a giant present box card and I came across the Elegant Stripes Hot Foil Plate. I decided to foil a white panel in red and a dark green panel in gold as I wasn’t yet sure what I wanted to do for my color palette.
Next, I made my bows in both brushed gold cardstocks and in deep reds and I cut two ½” strips of each color with my paper trimmer to act as the ribbon surrounding my gift box. I cut each of my foiled panels 3.75” x 5”, attached my paper ribbon and bows and added each one to a A2-sized folding card base. Now it was time to embellish the card.
Using dies from both the gorgeous new Christmas Bouquet Die Set I will be showcasing later this week and the Winter Foliage Die Set, I cut flowers and foliage in greens, reds, whites, and golds, and used these elements to enhance my bows.
Once everything was complete I stamped and heat embossed sentiments using the Christmas Sentiments Stamp and Die Set and my cards were complete. By being indecisive on color I ended up with a pair of beautiful Christmas cards.
