Simon Says Stamp Happy Campers Instagram Hop

Hello everyone! I am so excited to join in the new Simon Says Stamp Happy Camper release and the Instagram Hop where you have a chance to win a $25 gift card at every stop.   Today I am sharing several projects made with the gorgeous new Delicate Blossoms 6×6 clear stamp.

Watercolor Card:

For my first project I decided to do a watercolor card using heat embossing and Karin Brushmarkers.

To start my project, I stamped my Delicate Blossoms stamp on to an A2-sized panel of Strathmore Bristol paper, which I have found works best with Karin Brushmarkers, using VersaMark ink.  I then heat embossed the using Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder.

Once my panel was ready, I applied small amounts of ink with my Karin Brushmarkers, working one petal or leaf at a time, and a watercolor brush to draw out the colors.   I started with my lightest value first, and then once draw, went back in a darker shade to add shadow and movement.

Once everything was dry, I then mounted my panel onto foam tape and then adhered the entire panel to a folding card-base measuring 5.75” x 4.5” when folded.  I decided to go with a larger card size because I wanted to showcase as much of my panel as I could.

To finish everything off, I add a “Love You” die cut sentiment from the CZ Designs Love You dies set from glossy black cardstock from Your Paper Insider and a few black sequins from my stash!

Floral Tags:

I had so much fun using the Delicate Blossoms stamp I decided I also wanted to do a little coloring with alcohol markers.

To start, I stamped out my image into a 6” x 6” panel of OLO Blending Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  Next, I used the new Nested Tags dies to cut out two tag sized from the stamped panel.

I then got to work coloring.   I used both OLO and Copic markers for these tags.  I prefer the range of colors available in Copic, but nothing beats the richness of the Violet family from OLO.

Once my tags were complete, I added Hello sentiments for each one.   For the  larger tag in violet I used the Memory Box Breezy Hello Die and for the smaller tag in reds I used the Memory Box Hello Marker Script Dies.  I used a beautiful black glitter cardstock for both tags from Your Paper Insider and finished each off with embellishments and ribbon from my stash.
