Hello everyone! It’s release day for the November Altenew release. There are so many amazing products available this month and, to kick things off, I am featuring a sweet card using the new Bubbly Bumble Bee Die Set. This bee is just too cute and is the perfect accompaniment to any floral card.

SUPPLIES
- Bubbly Bumble Bee Layering Die Set
- Craft a Flower: Daisy Spray Layering Die Set
- Fall Harvest Fresh Die Inks
- Jade Dreams Fresh Dye Inks
- Altenew Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set
- Mayan Gold Shimmer Relief Paste
Background:
I knew I wanted my card to feature shades of white and gold so to start, I created an ink-blended background featuring the Fall Harvest Fresh Die Inks. I started my card with a white A2-sized card panel, I masked off the edges ½” around each side, and then created an hombre effect starting with my lightest ink at the bottom of the panel moving in a gradient to the darkest color at the top. To add a little sparkle, I used the Enchanted Gold watercolor from my Altenew Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set for some splatter.

Bubbly Bumble Bee Layering Die:
I die-cut my bee pieces using colored cardstock. I used shades of black for the legs and the main portion of the body and dark yellow for the bee’s stripes. For the wings I used both white cardstock and a shimmery vellum I layered on top. Once my cute bee was assembled, I moved onto my daisies.
Craft a Flower Daisy Spray Layering Die Set:
I cut the stem and blooms for the largest daisy stem in the set from 80lb white cardstock. I ink-blended the stems using green inks from the Jade Dreams Fresh Dye Inks and I ink-blend the center of the flowers and the centers of the petals using Butternut from the Fall Harvest Fresh Die Inks. To add some more sparkle, for the top flower center die cuts, I rubbed on some Mayan Gold Shimmer Relief Paste with my fingertips.
Lastly, I curled the petals with my pick-up tool and then assembled my daisy stem and blooms following the layering guide on the back of the packaging.

Assembly:
I trimmed off a 1/16” piece from each edge of my ink-blended card panel and attached the panel to a black A2 sized mat. I then arranged my daisy stem onto my card panel, realizing I needed to trim off the far right stem and bloom to make room for my bee. Don’t worry, for those of you who follow me on Instagram, that extra bloom made an appearance on my Build-a-Garden Serene Blooms card. Once my daisies were adhered to the panel, I attached my cute bee and a simple Thinking of You sentiment strip in black with white heat embossing.
My cute card was now complete and I absolutely love it.
Thanks for reading!
