Hello everyone! I am so excited to be participating in the Alex Syberia Designs Christmas Release Blog Hop. This release is filled with so many fun and beautiful holiday products including the new Christmas Postage Stamps Stamp Set and the Christmas Postage Stamp Stencils I am featuring in my project today.
To start my card, I first cut two panels of postage stamps from white cardstock using the Postage Stamps Cover Die. Next, I used the Christmas Postage Stamps Stencils to stencil the adorable images. Once complete, I used my paper trimmer to cut my panel into 4 separate stamps. I kept the Santa stamp for this project and reserved the other for a later card. I used the “Dec 25” stamp from the Christmas Postage Stamps Stamp Set to further embellish the Santa stamp.
For my second panel of stamps cut from white cardstock, I ink-blended a red hombre colored background and then used the Merry Xmas stamp from the Christmas Postage Stamps Stamp Set on top to be used as the sentiment for my card.
Next, I cut a background panel using the Good Day Quilted Rectangles Dies from light blue card stock. I lightly ink-blended the edges in a darker blue before arranging my two stamps. To add more interest, I die cut poinsettias and greenery using the Christmas Bouquet Die Set from red, blue, and white glitter cardstocks. I did a light ink-blending on the petals and leaves before adhering them to my panel with foam tape and finishing everything off with a little white splatter. All that was left was to glue my panel to a folding A2 card-base and my cute card was complete.
