Pinkfresh Studio “Homespun with Heart” Release Blog Hop

Hello everyone!  I am so excited to be a guest in the new Pinkfresh Studio “Homespun with Heart” Release Blog Hop.  This release includes so many beautiful new products, including the new The Stitch Edit suite of products I am featuring today.

The Stitch Edit collection includes several beautiful sewing themed products and today I am sharing a card that features the following:

I also used the older Stitched Basket Weave Coverplate die which creates a perfect background to mimic Aida cloth.

Steps:

  1. Using aqua cardstock I trimmed a panel 3” x 5.5” and ran it through my die machine with the Stitched Basket Weave Coverplate and adhered it to a white, A2, folding card-base as shown.
  2. I stamped in dark teal onto white cardstock and die cut a spool using the  Stitch Edit: Thread Spool Florals suite before stenciling the floral details in aquas and oranges.  Also using the stamp set, I stamped a sentiment in espresso ink and die cut it with the accompanying die.
  3. I used The Stitch Edit: Notion Story die to die cut thread and button elements from orange, peach, and dark teal cardstocks.
  4. I used The Stitch Edit: Maker’s Essentials die to cut sewing tools from orange, brushed silver, peach, and aqua card stocks.  I used the accompanying stencil to enhance the stitched square with a darker aqua ink. Using scissors, I cut apart my safety pin, needle and thread, and scissors die cuts and reattach them in new color combinations as shown.
  5. I assembled all of my elements onto the card base as shown using a combination of glue and thin foam tape for added dimension.

I hope you enjoy my card and thank you so much for following along.  Now is your chance to see even more beautiful inspiration and have a chance to win.

  1. Yes! I’m so glad that someone else used the scissors die. I love it. The floss cards, the needle. If only I could quilt again. Shoulder injuries are tough. The entire release is just sweet. I think everyone will love this.

  2. This is such a big release-something for everyone-even if you don’t craft with needle and thread. I am sure many of us have a friend or relative that does and it will be such fun to give them a card made from this release. I love the bright pops of color in your card. thanks for sharing.

  3. Nice card and I like how you have these gorgeous scissors in red. It stands out! Pretty color combo and great inspiration for sure. Thanks!

  4. I love the floral details on the thread spool 🙂 the stitched basket weave in aqua is beautiful too!

  5. So pretty! I love all the detail in each of the dies you used, and the great color choices too!
