Hello everyone! I am so excited to be participating in the Alex Syberia Designs February Release Blog Hop. This release is filled with so many beautiful products celebrating love including the new Charming Medallions Die Set and the new Tiny Flowers Stencils I am featuring in both of my cards.
To start, I grabbed the new Tiny Flowers Stencils and my Altenew Shades of Purple Fresh Die Ink Set and stenciled out a panel on white cardstock. Next, using complementary shades of purple cardstock from my stash I die cut several of the dies from the Charming Medallions Die Set to use for my card. Once I had all of the medallions assembled and arranged on my cardstock, I decided I wanted a simpler background. I used a lavender cardstock panel and re-stenciled with the Tiny Flowers, only this time I used just two of the purple shades from the ink quad. Now the focus of the design was on the beautiful medallions instead of the medallions fighting with the stenciled background. To finish everything off I added a “Love You” sentiment using the new With Love Sentiments Dies.
My original stenciled panel was so pretty I didn’t want it to go to waste so I decided to make a second card, only this time, the stenciled paper would be die cut using the heart-shaped Charmed Medallion so it would be the star. I decided my medallions with the Tiny Heart flowers would pair beautifully with the older Tiny Flowers Cover Die, so I created a background panel with the die from lavender cardstock. I then trimmed it to 3.25” x 5.5” and glued it to an A2-sized white card base, before adhering the Charming Medallions. I also used the sentiment from the new Wrapped With Love Stamp Set and heat embossed it in white onto dark purple cardstock.
