Background:
I wanted cards with bold graphic colors, so I pulled out 4 inks from my stash that I thought would play together well.
Card 1: Paper Piecing
For my first card, I ran my Wildflower Whispers Plate through my Better Press 4 times to create a panel in Permanent Black, Cherry Sweet red, Tangerine Dream orange, and Midnight Violet. I trimmed the black panel down to 4” x 5.25” and mounted it to a white folding A2 card base and then I got to work on the flowers.

Using just scissors, I fussy cut flowers from each of my colored panels cutting along the white lines. I then arranged the florals onto the black panel making sure each color was distributed throughout. All that was left was to add a simple “I Miss You” sentiment strip and my card was complete.
Card 2: Color Blocking:
For this card I created 4 panels using the Cherry Sweet red, Tangerine Dream orange, Magenta, and Midnight Violet Fresh Dye Inks. Once all four panels were complete, I trimmed each down to 4” x 5.25” making sure to trim each side in the exact same place. Next I cut each panel horizontally, making cuts at 1 5/16”

To assemble, I simply glued each strip in an pattern from lightest at the top to darkest at the bottom onto a folding white A2 card base. I finished the card with a “Thanks” sentiment from the Build-a-Garden: Sulfur Cosmos Bundle and a few black enamel dots. I was so happy with the results.
