Hello everyone! I am so excited to be sharing two new cards featuring the Gingerbread Train and Sweet Border Dies from the brand new Spellbinders Candy Christmas collaboration with Stamperia.
Card 1

The new Gingerbread Train die has so many options. You can make a card with just the train engine or add on all of the train cars featuring dessert delights. For my first card I knew I wanted to make a slimline and showcase it all.
To start, I went with traditional Christmas colors featuring reds and greens with a little white glitter for my frosting. Once I die cut all of my train elements, I got to work on my card base.

My card measurements are as follows:
- White folding card base: 4” x 9” when folded
- Cranberry mat: 3.75” x 8.75
- Pattern paper card panel: 3.5” x 8.5”
To make my candy cane train track fit my slimline panel, I cut white cardstock 8.5” long and then used partial die cutting to cut a longer track ensuring that I lined up my candy cane pattern for each pass through my die machine. I then backed my track with a strip of Cranberry cardstock.

Once my card base was assembled, I did a little ink blending of my train pieces before assembling the train and all of it parts. I then adhered my train to the card base with both glue and foam tape for dimension before finishing up with a sentiment cut from last year’s Cozy Toes Slippers Large Die of the Month.
Card 2
For my second card I wanted to feature the beautiful Stamperia Candy Christmas Paper Pad.

To start, I picked the pattern paper featuring a snowing cookie sky and cut the paper 4” x 5.25”. I then used the color palette featured in the paper pad selecting the following Spellbinders cardstock colors:
I die cut all of my train pieces from the Gingerbread Die set along with the frosted cake track from the Sweet Border dies. Once all of my pieces were cut, I ink-blended my elements using Distress Oxide inks before assembling per the guide on the back of the packaging.
Once all of my pieces were completed, I assembled the card as shown and attached it to a white A2 folding card base and added a sentiment.
I now have two beautiful Christmas cards for my stash. Which one is your favorite?
