CARD INSTRUCTIONS
Card 1
To begin these cards, I die cut a few panels of A2 sized Hammermill cardstock to use for hot-foiling the new Magical Peony Press Plate. I hot-foiled one panel in purple foil with the bloom opening towards the top left for use in a portrait-style card. The second panel I foiled in gold and has the flower opening to the top right for a landscape-style card.
For my first panel, I wanted to create a blend combining pinks from the Bubble Gum Dreams Fresh Dye Ink Collection along with purples from the Enchanted Garden Fresh Dye Ink Collection. To start, I grabbed my Magical Peony Stencils, my Mini Blending Brushes, and my Stampwheel 2.0. Laying my first stencil down I started with my lightest Wisteria ink making sure to leave the petal tips and creating a gradient of darker purples with the bottoms of the petals the darker Andromeda color. For the petal tips I used both Baby Pink and Fuschia from the Bubbles Gum Dreams Collection. With this card I used all layering stencils included in the set, coloring all of the petals.

Card 2
For my second panel, I pulled out my Warm and Cozy Fresh Dye Inks. I thought the gold would look great with bold oranges. Like before, I started with my lighter Sunkissed Ink moving to the Firebrick at the center, only this time I left of the final stencil so that the foiled petals on the panel would stand out.
Once my panels were complete, I used a nesting frame die set to cut out the center of the panel. I then cut frames from coordinating colored cardstocks 1/8” bigger than my middle panel. For assembly, I adhered my outer frames each to folding A2 card-bases, before adhering my middle panels to their coordinating cardstock mats. I then attached the assembled mats at as shown to the framed card bases using 1/8” Instant Dimension Foam Tape.
To finish everything off, I cut sentiments using glitter cardstock from my stash using the Stylish Greetings Die Set, a wonderful product from last years Cozy Comfort Retreat, and a few embellishments from my stash. I also cut shadow layers from the die set using vellum to help ensure the sentiments really popped.
I really love how these two cards came out and I hope you like them too! Thanks for reading!
Product Advice
I do want to point out how excited I am to share the new Crafter’s Showcase Mini Blending Brush Storage. I am so grateful to Altenew for gifting me this wonderful storage tool. I am such a huge fan of the their Mini Blending Brushes, and now I can keep them all in one stylish and easy-to-use, storage container. You have to get one! Also, I am frequently asked if people really do need the Stampwheel 2.0, and I am a definite yes to this. Its size and the removable arm are just so incredibly useful when needing to stamp large images and/or use larger stencils.
