Alex Syberia Designs March 2025 Blog Hop & Giveaway

Hello everyone! I am so excited to be participating in the Alex Syberia Designs new March Release
Blog Hop. This release is filled with truly beautiful new Press Plate products including the new Charming Floral
Background Press Plate and its accompanying Charming Floral Background Stencil I am featuring for my card today.

This new plate is so beautiful I wanted to showcase the stenciled flowers against a dramatic black
background. The beauty of the press plates is that they can be used either with the Better Press system
and stamped or they can be used with a hot foil machine. I wanted the rich shiny black of foil so I
grabbed my Glimmer machine and my black foil and got to work.

After foiling my image onto Hammermill cardstock I had on hand, I used a Copic Black 100 marker to
clean up a few of the spots where I had a little missing foil and got to work with the
Charming Floral Background Stencil. I stenciled the flowers using dark pinks for the flower petals,
dark greens for the leaves, and a soft gold for the flower centers. Next, I cut my panel down to 4” x 5.25”
and mounted it to an white folding A2-sized card base and got to work on finishing up my design.

I wanted to add a modern and fun element to offset the classic floral background so I grabbed my Quirky
Hearts Die Set and cut hearts in each size out of both plain white and white glitter cardstocks. Next,
using thin foam tape and glue, I layered my hearts together, alternating the solid and glitter cardstocks,
before adhering it to my card panel and moving on to my sentiment.

I pulled out my favorite Love and Hugs die set and, choosing the Hugs, I die cut the sentiment from a
bright pink cardstock and mounted it onto a shadow cut from black. I adhered the sentiment to my
card and everything was complete and the card us just waiting to be sent to one of my favorite people!
